The new venue will challenge Vevo and Hulu

It will serve as a challenger to upstart music hub Vevo, which has been a hit with Hispanics, as well as Hulu, which has limited content targeted to that audience.According to Univision’s research, 69 percent of its Web users claim that “music is an important part of my life.” Thus, the new site is loaded with 145,000 songs, along with artist pages, photos, behind the scenes clips and a unique lyrics tool. Plus, users can listen to 40-plus Univision Radio stations on the site.While music videos are at the site’s core, Univision is also using the Música rollout to introduce a new original series: Univision In Studio. The show will feature exclusive performances of new and up-and-coming artists, along with question-and-answer sessions with fans.The first episode of In Studio debuted on Oct. 7 with a performance by Latin music star Daddy Yankee.
